Why Move?

This may seem like a simple question this week, but I want you to think deeply about the answer and provide an example. Talk to your parents or another adult about these questions before posting your reply. Stretch your thinking.

Why do people move?
Why do people leave home?

Stretch It

This week, we've been talking about parts of speech: nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and prepositional phrases. Stretch It? What's that? Take a simple sentence and make it a better sentence by adding words to it. Make a great sentence with lots of detail. Be sure your sentence makes sense. You don't want to stretch it so much that it doesn't make sense! Pay attention to grammar, capitalization, spelling, and punctuation. Try using words from all of the parts of speech we practiced this week. Here's an example:

She had to explain it.

Example: Jenny was asked to explain math to her little sister, Sue.

Here are your two sentences to stretch:

He ate it.

It scared me.
